Volunteer at the Renaissance Festival!

Hear ye, hear ye! Come enjoy a day filled with huzzahs 

while supporting the Charlotte Chorale!


Join us at the Carolina Renaissance Festival, where we’ll be volunteering in the food stands to help raise funds for our choir. 

Each volunteer shift is 8.5 hours long and includes lunch.


We have two volunteer opportunities available:

Food Preparer (Behind the Scenes)
Help keep the festival running smoothly by preparing food and beverages for service to customers. This role works behind the scenes and 

does not require a costume.


Point of Sale Volunteer
Step into the spirit of the Renaissance! In this role, you’ll take customer orders using an iPad, interact directly with festival guests, and handle cash transactions, including making change. A Renaissance costume is provided, and volunteers should feel comfortable working 

with customers and managing money.


So raise your glass to medieval merriment and spend a memorable day helping keep the music alive with the Charlotte Chorale.

About Us!

  The Charlotte Chorale is a secret gem of the Charlotte arts community.   
Founded in 2003, the Charlotte Chorale stands out among 

adult performing arts organizations. 


The Chorale is comprised of auditioned singers that enjoy singing a variety of styles of music and giving back to the community. 


 Each concert features a unique musical theme, offering our audience a delightful mix of musical styles in every show. 


 We don’t just sing, we also serve. 

The Charlotte Chorale’s mission is to Make Great Music & Give Back. 

Our concerts bring joy to audiences and tangible support to those in need, from donated books, toys, and blankets to over 45,000 sausage biscuits delivered through our Buy A Biscuit For A Soldier program. 


Our Conductor - Andrew Struhar

Andrew Struhar is a performer and teacher of Musical Theatre and Opera.  He is a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Choral Performance.  Mr. Struhar is also a graduate of James Madison University with a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance, Pedagogy, and Literature.  


  

Mr. Struhar was the cofounder and CFO of Grace School of the Arts in Ocala, FL and spent 8 years as a musical theatre director and choir conductor in churches and private schools throughout South and Central Florida. Mr. Struhar moved to the Charlotte area last July.  Mr. Struhar currently resides in North Carolina with his wife and 5 children . He’s honored to serve as the Conductor of the Charlotte Chorale and finds great joy in guiding a talented ensemble as they share beautiful, meaningful and entertaining programs with the Charlotte community.

Buy A Biscuit For A Soldier Program

     More than a decade ago, the Charlotte Chorale launched the “Buy a Biscuit for a Soldier” program. A simple yet powerful way to give back. Through this initiative, we provide warm sausage biscuits to the USO of North Carolina Charlotte Center, offering comfort and nourishment to soldiers traveling home for the holidays through Charlotte Douglas International Airport. We’re honored to share that, thanks to your generosity, we’ve served over 45,000 biscuits to these brave men and women.


    You can help us continue this tradition by donating just $1.00 per biscuit.

    Join us on stage!

     The Charlotte Chorale welcomes adult singers 18 and older who love performing a variety of choral styles and have fun doing it! We’re seeking passionate vocalists who can read choral music and commit to weekly rehearsals held Tuesdays from 7:00–9:00 PM. Our success thrives on the dedication, enthusiasm, and teamwork of our members.


    Our season runs August through June, 

    and members are expected to participate in performances, 

    fundraisers, and community events throughout the year. 

    Membership dues: $45 per semester.


    We understand auditions can feel intimidating, but we make the process relaxed and supportive. All auditions are conducted privately to help you feel comfortable and confident.


    Please bring a prepared piece in any style that showcases your voice. 

    You may sing with piano accompaniment (please bring sheet music for the accompanist), use a track from your phone, 

    or sing a cappella. Whatever helps you shine.


    During the audition, our conductor will guide you through a few vocal exercises to explore your range and have you sing through a sight‑reading segment.


    We can’t wait to hear you sing and welcome you to our musical family!
